The patches are sorted into subdirectories by kernel version.
The last "-<n>" is the revision of the patchset for the given
kernel. Usually it is just "-1", but sometimes there is more
than one patchset for a given kernel.

2.6.9-rc4 + newer:
==================

The All-<version>.diff.gz file is the "all-in-one" patch
which containes all others, i.e. usually you have to apply
just that one.

The other files are the individual patches with the exception
of "series" which specifies the order of the patches. That
file can be used by the quilt patch management scripts. You
probably don't need these unless you are a kernel hacker.

[ hmm, seems to be dated ... ]

older kernel revisions:
=======================

The patch-<version>-kraxel file is the "all-in-one" patch
which containes all others, i.e. usually you have to apply
just that one.

The <nr>_<name>-<version>.diff files are the individual patches
building the big one, that are the patches I usually submit
for inclusion into the standard kernel. You probably don't
need these unless you are a kernel hacker.
